Melissa has over 10 years’ experience in customs and freight forwarding. Originally working in travel, and living all over the world, she returned to the UK and started her career in freight forwarding with DB Schenker in 2013.
She gained additional experience in air imports, exports and road freight before moving on to concentrate more on customs. After moving to Efret in 2020 she set up the customs department from scratch, obtaining the permissions, sourcing customs software and setting up a network of robust customs brokers across Europe to help with end-to-end service. Within a year, Efret had a fully functional, AEO certified customs brokerage department.
Now setting her sights on airfreight, with assistance from Uniserve, she is in the process of creating an airfreight department allowing Efret to open up our transport solutions globally.
