Jeff has a lifetime’s experience in European transport and logistics. He was the Co-founder of Efret and the former Chairman, prior to retirement.

After serving as a short commission officer in the French SAS Para regiment, Jeff went on to study for a degree in law and international relations at his hometown University in Rouen, France.

He began his career in international transportation with Truckline Ferries (now Brittany Ferries) and was instrumental in establishing their start-up freight only service to Poole. After a period of successful growth, he relocated to Poole to oversee the UK operation as Commercial Director. 

He later set up GB Express in the UK which became the second largest transport operator to and from western Europe. The innovative company led the market in ‘Just-In-Time’ deliveries for the fledgling pan-European automotive industry. The business was eventually acquired by the P&O Group, where he continued as a director.

As the co-founder of Efret, he was instrumental in transforming the business from a fledgling start-up to one of the most well-respected operators within the European logistics sector, with an enviable client roster.
